Cantaloupe fruit actually belong to the
Cucurbitaceae family and they are thought to have originated from Southern Asia
and Persia. From statistic a lot of different types of Cantaloupe fruit are
cultivated all over the world today. This particular plant is frost sensitive
and they are monoecious (which actually means both male and female flowers are
produced on the same plant). Cantaloupe fruit flowers remain open for
approximately a day and they are insect pollinated. Cantaloupe fruit are usually
